At This Time of Year
With Christmas just under two weeks away, the hustle and bustle of the season becomes increasingly more evident. The pace quickens and frustrations rise in attempts to finally locate the perfect gift(s) before the big day aririves.
This year, I've opted out of the running here and there, the pushing and shoving for those unbelievable deals. I've deliberately decided to sit back and take a break... even from my photography.
Now some artists may be thinking this is not a good thing. But I think that sometimes it's good to take a break. Photography is not my bread and butter so I can allow myself the time to rethink and regroup, especially at the Christmas season.
Daily life is filled with "have-to's" and with social media and technology, everything is non-stop. So, in order to enjoy a holiday that was meant to be reflected upon, I'm opting out to simply take it all in.
