I cannot help but write about the recent events taking place in our Capitol.

While this forum is (I believe) dedicated to art and art-related issues, what has recently taken place affects everyone in every industry and every creative process for without our democracy, many of us will be silenced.

I was horrified and tearful about what I saw take place on January 6, 2021. Unfortunately this has been the culmination (maybe) of "all that's needed for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing." And that has been what has been taking place, bit by bit, eroding the Republican party  since 2016.

I hope and pray that the new administration will help to heal the ulcerated wounds created by the past administration and that this country might begin to work together as one nation, under God, not Trump.
