This relatively unassuming flower is often overlooked. I believe it is rather common and so it may not get a second, or even a first, look. I saw the purple version of this flower growing profusely in the backyard of my childhood home. But recently, I've come to see it appears in lavender, deep fuchsia, and white, as in he photograph. Though common, this stately portrait renders it in all its beauty.
